Checking for Safety

There are a few simple ways of checking for the safety of the makeup before buying;

 

1. Check for a CE Mark at the back of the packaging. This is a sign that the Toy has been safety tested and conforms to EU guidelines

 

2. If buying on Amazon; checking reviews/comments can also help

 

3. Ask the seller if the makeup is specifically designed for kids’ skin

 

4. If you have already bought a set then first test on a small part of your child’s body, maybe back of the arm and leave for a few hours to see if there is a reaction

 

5. Read through list of compounds used to make the makeup. I have a section  here explaining some of the most common chemical used in making kids make up sets
